Wakamarina Lodge - boutique luxury accommodation located in one of New Zealand’s most stunning regions. Set among 100 hectares of virgin forest, lush meadows and mountain streams, we offer four private suites complete with panoramic views.

Wakamarina Lodge has been designed and built to blend in harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. Extensive use of natural materials such as wood, copper and stone are seamlessly integrated into the natural environment which is home to an abundance of birds and wildlife.

Guests have the unique opportunity to observe native species such as the tui, bellbird, fantail, wood pigeon and weka from the comfort of their own suite. Balconies open to both the inner courtyard and outer gardens, offering  stunning panoramic vistas over the tranquil Wakamarina Valley.

The main lodge building is the starting point of a myriad of paths that lead  guests to features such as the ponga fern grove, waterfall and glow worm dell. Enjoy a friendly game of tennis on our all-weather court, or go for a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Wakamarina River.

Centrally located between Nelson and Blenheim and at the gateway to the Marlborough Sounds, we provide the perfect base for a large variety of pursuits. From fly fishing the bountiful Pelorus River and big game hunting to touring award-winning vineyards and sampling local dishes, we make all the necessary arrangements so you can simply sit back and relax.
